Product Description
The Basketball Rim Height Adjuster – 1171 Electric is sold as a replacement for an existing faulty height adjuster. The height adjuster purchased as a single item does not include mounting hardware. If you’re looking to add a height adjuster to an existing basketball goal, which does not already have a height adjuster, then you also need hardware which is appropriate to fit your backboard and backstop.

This product only includes the height adjuster with the factory mounted motor.
Installation
Replacing an existing Basketball Hoop Height Adjuster – 1171 Electric requires removal of the rim, backboard and existing height adjuster. We recommend doing this with a scissor lift or with scaffolding and a chain hoist or electric hoist. You’ll need 3/4″ and 9/16″ sockets and wrenches, a carpenters level. An experienced crew of 2 can replace a height adjuster in as little as 2 hours. If you have any questions, please contact us to speak to an experienced installer.
Maintenance
The manufacturer recommends lubricating the slide tubes and the screw rod every 6 months with white lithium aerosol grease. This is done when the height adjuster is at the upper position. It is not necessary to lubricate the nylon bearings. We recommend using a piece of scrap cardboard as a shield to prevent the grease from getting on the backboard or other non moving parts of the equipment. Height adjusters are shipped LTL freight on a pallet. The total shipping weight is around 100 pounds for 1 height adjuster, including pallet and packaging.

Delivery
We will request that your order be delivered on a truck equipped with a lift gate. However, freight companies are known to disregard these instructions. If the driver shows up without a lift gate, and the order cannot be unloaded, please contact us immediately so that we can verify that a left gate was on the freight order.
The driver may need assistance unloading your freight. The friendlier or more helpful you are or the promise of a tip, will go along way when working with drivers. A average tip for this type of delivery is $10 to $20.
Drivers are not required to delivery pallets to an indoor space. There is an extra fee for indoor delivery. Again, if you’re friendly and helpful or offer a tip, most drivers will provide additional assistance.
Damage
Please list all noticeable damage on the delivery ticket before signing. Also, please take photos of damage immediately. Email us the photos so that we can work with the shipper to rectify any problems.
