Product Description
The Stationary Wall Mount Basketball Goal P2300 is ideal for any gym in which the goal will be within 12’ from the wall. This unit is approved for use for all levels of play. Indeed, this system meets NBA, NCAA, FIBA, NFHS, & IBL requirements for competitive play.
The Face of Bank for this system is anywhere from 2’ to 12’ from the wall. (The Face of Bank is the distance between the wall and the front face of the backboard.)
What’s Included
This stationary wall mount basketball goal includes a 72”x42” glass backboard, collegiate rim, backboard pads, and backstop. A height adjuster is also provided as an option add-on.
Glass Backboard with Aluminum Frame
The AFRG42 is the strongest aluminum framed glass backboard available anywhere. It is designed to withstand 900 pounds of force. This versatile backboard is designed to attach to wall mount backstops, ceiling suspended backstops, and portable arena goals like those used on NBA courts.
Glass Backboard with Steel Frame
The LXP4200 glass backboard from Gared Sports is the strongest backboard manufactured today. This backboard can withstand 1,100 pounds of force. This backboard is able to attach to wall mount backstops, ceiling suspended backstops, and portable arena goals like those used on NBA courts.
Collegiate Breakaway Rim
The 2000+ breakaway rim has been installed in more facilities than any other rim in history. Indeed, this rim meets or exceeds design requirements of NCAA and AAU as well as other basketball organizations. The 2000+ rim is set at the factory to break or flex at 140 pounds of dynamic energy force. This may be increased or decreased by the installer by adjusting the compression on the springs.
Backboard Pads
The PMCE Pro-Mold Backboard Pads are available in 16 standard colors. These pads are formed with bolt holes to fit both the LXP4200 and AFRG42 glass backboards.
Backstop
The backstop is the framework that connects the backboard to the wall. Or, in the case of a ceiling mount, the backstop connects the backboard to the ceiling. The backstop for this stationary wall mount basketball goal is available in 5 telescoping sizes. Each size allows the backboard to be set at different distances from the wall. This offset from the wall is known as the Face of Bank.
Backstop Color
Gared Sports offers black and 7 other standard powder coating colors. Custom colors are available for an additional fee. The default color is black. Backstop powder coated black are usually available to ship within a few days of placing the order. If a color other than black is specified, shipping may be delayed 1 to 2 weeks.
Optional Height Adjuster
The optional height adjuster allows users to lower the rim down to 8’. The height adjuster is either operated by an electric motor or manually with a shepherd’s hook. The height adjuster adds approximately 10” between the backstop and the backboard. Therefore, when incorporating a height adjuster, be sure to add this extra 10” to the length of your backstop. For instance, if your Face of Bank is 6’-5” and you plan to have a height adjuster, then your backstop should be the 4’ to 6’ option since the thickness of the height adjuster will add about 10”.
The height adjuster is only available in black.

This backboard is a heavy duty commercial unit. It should only be installed by individuals with experience installing this type of equipment. Installation generally requires 2 strong men and the use of a scissor lift. Although, it may also be installed with scaffolding. Delivery
We will request that your order be delivered on a truck equipped with a lift gate. However, freight companies are known to disregard these instructions. If the driver shows up without a lift gate, and the order cannot be unloaded, please contact us immediately so that we can verify that a left gate was on the freight order.
The driver may need assistance unloading your freight. The friendlier or more helpful you are or the promise of a tip, will go along way when working with drivers. A average tip for this type of delivery is $10 to $20.
Drivers are not required to delivery pallets to an indoor space. There is an extra fee for indoor delivery. Again, if you’re friendly and helpful or offer a tip, most drivers will provide additional assistance.
Damage
Please list all noticeable damage on the delivery ticket before signing. Also, please take photos of damage immediately. Email us the photos so that we can work with the shipper to rectify any problems.
Shipping, Delivery & Damage Claims
Please inspect your shipment carefully at the time of delivery. Your shipment is insured, and damage or loss is rare. However, it can happen. In order to file an insurance claim, any damage or missing items must be documented at the time of delivery.
Before the shipment is unloaded, take clear photos from several angles. Then, after unloading, take additional photos in good lighting. These photos provide important documentation if a damage or loss claim becomes necessary.
Damage Claims
If the shipment, packaging, pallet, or any item appears damaged, dented, crushed, torn, or otherwise questionable, take plenty of photos before the shipment is unloaded from the truck. After unloading, take additional overall and close-up photos in better lighting.
Ask the driver to document all visible damage on the delivery paperwork, Bill of Lading (BOL), or electronic delivery app. The damage must be documented before you sign for and accept the delivery.
Your signature indicates that you accepted the shipment in its delivered condition. Therefore, do not sign the delivery paperwork or electronic delivery confirmation until you have inspected the shipment and documented any visible damage.
If there are no photos taken at the time of delivery and the damage is not documented on the delivery paperwork or app before you sign, an insurance damage claim cannot be filed. In that case, the customer will be responsible for purchasing any replacement items that are needed.
However, when you have delivery photos and the damage has been properly documented before accepting the shipment, a claim can be filed and the damaged item can be replaced at no cost to the customer.
Lost or Missing Item Claims
A shipment may appear to be in perfect condition while an item is still missing. Therefore, take photos of every shipment at the time of delivery, even when everything appears to be fine.
Take photos from several angles before the shipment is unloaded. After unloading, take additional photos in good lighting. These images help establish exactly what was present when the shipment arrived.
The shipper will have photographed the shipment before it was loaded for transportation. If an item is missing, those photographs can be compared with your delivery photos to document the loss and support an insurance claim.
If there are no photos taken at the time of delivery, an insurance claim cannot be filed for a lost or missing item. In that case, the customer will be responsible for purchasing any replacement items that are needed.
However, when your delivery photos show that an item was missing when the shipment arrived, the photographs can be compared with the shipper’s documentation to support the claim. Once the loss is properly documented, the missing item can be replaced at no cost to the customer.
Before You Sign for Your Shipment
- Inspect the shipment for visible damage or missing items.
- Photograph the shipment from several angles before unloading.
- Photograph it again after unloading in good lighting.
- Document any damage or loss on the delivery paperwork, BOL, or delivery app.
- Do not sign until any visible damage or loss has been documented.
- Keep your photos in case an insurance claim needs to be filed.
Taking a few photos at the time of delivery can make all the difference. Proper documentation protects you and provides the information required to file an insurance claim if your shipment arrives damaged or incomplete.
